Word from Brett Ottolenghi about an Open House this Friday at Artisanal Foods, Las Vegas. Featured will be a number of Brett’s top vendors, as well as cocktails featuring Filthy Food garnishes and wine.
Unicahome retails Filthy Food, incidentally. Available here.
Here’s the line up, according to Brett (labelled The Truffle Kid by The New Yawker):
The producers include Majid who has traveled from Tunisia. His company Les Moulins Mahjoub makes an idealistic line of organic simple foods such as, olives (using only salt and water), capers, garlic and artichoke spreads, hand rolled cous cous, sun dried tomato, harissa, and preserves.
John Cancilla from Marques de Valduza (Spain) will do a tasting on Olive Oils which is always fascinating. He makes two of Spain’s top olive oils and is employed by an actual Marquee who belongs to one of the oldest and wealthiest families in Spain. He will also bring their wine.
Jon Zearreta from Ortiz will be here to show and talk about their exceptional tuna and anchovies.
I’ll slice a Jamon Iberico de Bellota. It should be a ton of awesome food and interesting people.
We will certainly have wine and filthy cocktails and it will be free to all.
See you there!
