The Hopper Table by Dirk Wynants for Extremis

Designer Dirk Wynants was influenced by ‘The Peasant Wedding’ by Pieter Breughel ‘the Elder’ when he planned the Hopper table. Inspired by the hop culture, Wynants’ own hop garden and especially by the structure of a hop field, he was thinking about the large groups of hoppers and farmers who used to celebrate the end of the hop picking season at long rows of tables. Great for a beer and celebration with friends during the Spring and Summer.

Winner of the Interior Innovation Award at Cologne and the Red Dot 2011 Award for Best of the Best, the Hopper is available with a durable Iroko wood top and galvanized or powder coated steel (white, earth or red) legs. Four different lengths are available for 4-seat (70.9″), 6-seat(94.5″), 8-seat (118″) and 10-seat (141.7″). Iroko is an African hardwood similar to teak. It will patina over time.

The Hopper also has numerous options, including backrests, shades and floor fastening sets. A simple bench version is also available separately.
