Cadence.mgx Pendant Lamps by Materialise

From Materialise in Belgium comes the beautiful and reasonably-priced Cadence series of lighting, utilizing 3-D printing technology. Originally used for rapid prototyping, the ‘printing’ is made in three dimensions using a laser beam in a solution of polyamide or epoxy. The manufacturing process is computer driven, and any design may be scaled within certain constraints.

The Cadence.MGX pendant lamp builds on the theme established by the earlier designs of the Sequence.MGX Bowl and the Con_Sequence.MGX lamp. It is a theme of transformation, from solid to liquid, both esthetically and physically, and it is an idea once thought to be impossible to produce in a single material. The development from a subtle pattern to an intricately intertwined and malleable surface gives the Cadence.MGX lamp its unique appeal. The progressively intensifying light invites touch and inspires the observer’s imagination. Similar to the other objects in this series, there is a macro and micro, a simple and a complex, that give these objects their unique quality of balance and beauty.

- Small: 9.8″h x 3″dia
- Medium: 12.2″h x 3.9″dia
- Large: 14.6″h x 4.7″dia

All sizes with stainless steel with chrome finish mounting cup, white nylon shade, and use one xenon 12V, 20W bulb.
