the 2009 swarovski crystal palace exhibtion during the Milan Fair was entirely designed by Paris-based Arik Levy.  Arik Levy (b. 1968, Israel) currently is a principal (with Pippo Lionni) of Ldesign.  Levy has designed for a multitude of firms, including Gaia & Gino, Vitra, Baleri, Bitossi and Eno. Swarovski Crystal Palace is under the direction of Nadja Swarovski.  Over the last 8 years the Crystal Palace series has been focused primarily on use of  Swarovski Crystals with new technology. Many of the efforts have involved lighting and encrustation.  Levy’s exhibition was the first solo designer exhibition for Crystal Palace.  Levy’s approach was quite different, with an exploration of the structure of faceted crystals into various materials as well as media.
