2012 Art Glass Bird Introductions by Oiva Toikka for Iittala
Oiva Toikka has been designing Art Glass birds for Nuutajarvi/Iittala since around 1972.
Amazingly popular, Toikka birds have been collected for generations.
Iittala recently announced their new additions to the series, including the re-introduction of some of our favorites, the raven and the crow.
Iittala has also announced their annual bird and egg series. This year the featured bird is the Mirella.
A limited edition bird, the Festive Catcher (marketed in Finland as the juhlasieppari), was also introduced, with a numbered edition of 2000 worldwide.
