Tibor Kalman’s M&Co Clocks Coming Back.. Sort of.

Tibor Kalman was a graphic designer who made a ton of people think in the 90′s with the Benetton Colors magazine. Kalman was tricky- and always had something up his sleeve. His images made you think, with juxtaposition and in-your-face-something-is-wrong-with-this-image.
M&Co (the Kalman’s company) produced a number of his (and wife, illustrator and writer, Maira) clock designs. Whimsical and sometimes a bit off, the clocks took the stodgy idea of timekeeping and made it a bit more fun.
Sometime over the last few years M&Co sort of disappeared. Now they are back- with only 2 of the designs- and none of the larger clocks. But hey, we’re happy.
Included is The Bodoni- really just an homage to the typeface-and the 5 O’clock. The 5 O’clock only has the numeral 5- it’s 5 somewhere in the world. Wait and whimper for your turn.
