Vitra Germany New Introductions for Fall 2011
Vitra of Germany introduced their new Fall 2011 Introductions. Included are new designs from Barber & Osgerby, Jasper Morrison, and the Bouroullec Brothers.
Tip Ton Chair in Action
The most notable of these introductions is a workspace/dining concept by Barber and Osgerby. Royal College of Art graduates Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby have made a big splash with their designs for Cappellini, Magis, Vitra, Venini, Swarovski, Flos and Established & Sons, wining numerous design awards and being named the Elle Decoration Designer of the Year.
Their work is held in permanent collections around the world including the V&A Museum, London; the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; the Design Museum, London; the Art Institute of Chicago and the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
Tip Ton Chair and Map Table by Barber & Osgerby
The new introductions include the tip ton chair and the map table. The tip ton is made from polypropylene and features a novel forward-tilt sitting position, enabled by use of a nine degree angle on the skids of the chair. The map table has a number of different leg position options and is attractive with function and minimal appearance in mind.
Meet Jasper and Hal
Jasper Morrison returns to collaborate with Vitra with the introduction of the Hal Stools, Chairs and Table.

The Hal stool and chairs feature a polypropylene shell with stackable and leg variations, while the Hal table is a simply functional object that is also stackable.

The Bouroullec Brothers return to Vitra to introduce L’oiseau (bird) a decidedly modern decorative accessory made of maple wood.
