Introductions from Acme Studio
Just in time for the holiday season come these new introductions from Acme Studio of warm and friendly Hawaii.
Acme Studio specializes in integrating graphic design with useful, good product. Since their founding 25 years ago, the Studio has collaborated with many of the great architects and designers- and helped to develop new career paths for the up-and-coming yewts. (What’s a Yewt? Never mind.)
This winter’s introduction includes and extension of Arik Levy’s Honeycomb series, which is based on computer-generated graphic also used in Materialise’s Blackhoney series.

London-born designer Debora Jedwab brings the Opulence series of compact, pen and business card case. Utilizing strong graphics, the set is significantly different from her very successful and colorful Genie introduction for Acme.

Designer Sue Wong has expanded her Art Deco-Inspired graphic Talmadge I series. Designer Wong was heavily influenced by the Hollywood Style. Odds are that this design is named after the famous Norma Talmadge, who retired here in Vegas.

More importantly, I suppose, is the re-introduction of the Bacterio pen by Ettore Sottsass. Sottsass was a thinker, primarily, and his images and writings had a large effect on us here at Unicahome. He was a multi-culturalist before it was necessary and hip to be one. And he changed the fashion world without needing to be fashionable. It is very nice to see one of his designs become available again. We hope Bacterio is appreciated for its beauty and not its collectibility.

Along with the Bacterio pen comes the Rochettina pen introduction, which has striations and a cool magnetic top closing mechanism.
