Best shows in Vegas?

I have some friends coming into town from New York and they would like to see some shows while they are here. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

I like the Amazing Jonathan Show at the Harmon Theater at the Planet Hollywood. It is a fun show but not for the faint of heart. Jonathan mixes comedy with magic. At times, it can be a bit brutal, but it a lot of fun if you do not take it to seriously. Think a low rent Penn & Teller

Not a big fan of Cirque- I think they've dumbed it down too much- I remember watching the stuff on A&E years ago and it was fascinating. Perhaps I'm older, but the last show I went to I could figure out when the fat comic relief dude would come out- right after things got a bit too slow.
<p>The Rat Pack show at the Plaza is excellent. I've heard good things about Geechy Guy's show at the Trop as well. Somehow I bet the smaller shows are better than the big ones. People want spectacle not real entertainment.

<p>It is tough to make a buck outside of the big theaters- and even the big theater guys are struggling at the moment.

<p>Penn and Teller give a lot back to the community, by the way. Spend some bucks with them. The real cool thing about their show is that they really attract everyone. Perhaps it's that Libertarian vibe.
